Joe Polish reveals gems to Enthusiastic Entrepreneurs at “I Love Marketing!”
“A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm.” ~ Charles Schwab
You will agree that enthusiasm is a beautiful thing. It fuels us, entrepreneurs and small business owners, in times of change. It keeps us energetic, vibrant, attractive.
I saw a lot of enthusiasm from entrepreneurs last Wednesday night in Tempe, AZ. In the office of Piranha Marketing, Joe Polish hosted a meetup group that emphasizes the importance of marketing – whatever business you’re in.
We listened to his story and I was happy to see he used the template I give in my “Speak and Attract Money” course to make it even more compelling. Then we broke up in small groups to share what he calls our “Profit Activators”. Here are the first three:
Profit Activator #1: Narrow Your Focus. Select ONE Target Market.
Profit Activator #2: Use direct Response Offers to Compel Prospects to Call You. (e.g. a FREE report, a FREE audio recording, a list, a strategy session…)
Profit Activator #3: Patiently and Systematically Educate and Motivate Prospects to Meet You.
See you next week for the next Profit Activators; in the meantime, think about your compelling “Mafia Offer” (you know, the one people cannot refuse!). Do you have one? Is it appropriate for your target market? On a scale from 1 to 5, how irresistible is it? What automated contact did you create after the offer to keep the not-so-warm prospects “in the loop”, in touch with you until they are ready to buy?
Leave us your best offer and comments on the blog; you may get a few people contacting you.
Oh — and here are the little GEMS I got throughout the meeting:
“People buy from you because they feel UNDERSTOOD.”
“Take the time to ask people why they do business with you… and also ask why they didn’t buy sooner.”
“Use testimonials over and over again; repurpose them; post the videos on your site, on youtube; have them transcribed in a interview format; use case studies for your newsletter and for presentations…”
“If you’ve never been educated on something you make it up by talking about it.” … so educate you prospects, tell them what they need to know in order to choose you and appreciate the quality of products and services you deliver.
