Best Way to Start My Best Business Year Ever!

On Jan 1st, 2012 I declared that this would be my best year ever. Read below how it’s already “in action”:

You may know about “google alerts”, right? … To check if someone says something about you, you set up a google alert with your name and/or business name; and you can repeat the process with every topic or brand name that you want to monitor. (I highly recommend it if you are not currently using it; just check “google alert”)

So, January 3rd, 2012, I checked my emails and got a google alert with my name. I was surprised since I was still in a semi-vacation mode. I clicked on it and discovered that

one of my business stories was in… the Wall Street Journal! 

Wow! That’s a great way to start my Best Year ever! I thought.

It’s a story of a big business mistake I made ten years ago… and they’ve cut the part where I look good and recover from my mistake (you know how it goes in the media…).  Even though it doesn’t make me look too good, I can use this FREE publicity to make my points and show that I became an expert because I learned from my mistakes!
