How to Be Unstoppable In Your LIfe and Business (Part 4)
Recipe for Success:
How to Get Your Confidence Back!
Ingredients: – 1 comfy chair,
- 15 uninterrupted minutes
- 1 Tsp of Trust in the Process
- 2 cups of Deep Breathing
- A big dab of openness
- 1 Tsp Positive expectation
- Love for self (to taste!)
- 1 notepad or journal
- 1 pen or pencil
Preparation:
What is Conviction? It’s the self-expression of your business. Just like Branding is the image or identity of your business, its character, Conviction is its voice.
So, you need to watch yourself in these three areas:
- your inner talk
- your emotions
- your behaviors and actions.
Step 1.
Get very relaxed and prepare yourself for introspection. Please reserve approximately thirty (30) minutes of your uninterrupted time. This means no cell phone, emails, or taking care of the children. The purpose here is to access your inner wisdom and first assess the situation. So, get very relaxed, take a few deep breaths, drink some water, put some calming music. Set the ambiance, and in a notepad or journal (or on your computer) write these questions and make sure you relax yourself before answering them.
Do I have confidence in myself?
On a scale from 0-10 (10 being the most) what’s my level of confidence in this area?
How is it showing up in my life and business?
Do I have confidence in my product/service?
On a scale from 0-10 (10 being the most) what’s my level of confidence in this area?
How is it showing up in my life and business?
Do I have confidence in my connection with potential clients? Do they truly see the value of what I offer?
On a scale from 0-10 (10 being the most) what’s my level of confidence in this area?
How is it showing up in my life and business?
Step 2.
Choose the area A, B or C you want to work on.
Step 3.
If you picked A, find out if you’re not confident in yourself in general, or in regards to your business. If it’s in regards to your business jump to step 9. If it’s a more generic lack of confidence go to step 4.
If you picked B, jump to step 9. (will come in blog tomorrow)
If you picked C, hop to step 11. (will come in blog in just two days)
Step 4.
Close your eyes and relax. Imagine in your childhood a time when you did something great; maybe you learned how to roller skate, or ride a bike. You trained, maybe it was not fun at the beginning and then suddenly you got it! Maybe you got some help or support. If that’s the case, feel the support and be thankful. Tell yourself that when you need it and ask for it, support, help, resources can show up for you. Experience the feeling you had from doing it with ease, the confidence, the satisfaction. — Make these feelings grow inside you.
Step 5.
Now go for a time after that when you realized something else. Maybe it was easier to do, or you accomplished it even to your own surprise!
What did you do that you can be proud of, even if it is a little tiny pride. Don’t discard it; don’t judge it. Don’t overanalyze what pops up into your head. Go with the first idea that comes.
Did you get help or support there? Maybe it was not from people, yet you felt “the Universe” supported your success.
How did it feel this time? Make that good feeling grow in you until it wants to overflow outside your body.
Step 6.
Now you are even closer to this time; what is one thing or person you had success with? It may be a client giving you great results due to your work, or anything happening in your private life.
What did you do? Look at the accomplishment. Be thankful, proud and happy.
Did you feel supported by people or God/Spirit/The Universe?
What are your feelings? Make them grow again.
Step 7.
Review these three accomplishments. Feel the confidence that you’ve gained from them. Tell yourself if you’ve done this, you can create other things too. Tell yourself you can manifest support and help from various sources. You can create anything you want if you put your mind and actions into it. Make the confidence grow.
Step 8.
Get out of the relaxation state and take a few notes in your notepad or journal.
Optional: if that is not enough, call a few friends and ask them what they find terrific about you. Take notes or record the conversations to get back to this and build your confidence muscle.
